Greenmeadow Primary School

Governors

WHAT DO THE GOVERNORS OF GREENMEADOW DO?

Being a school governor at Greenmeadow Primary School is vital to our school’s success. We care about the children and all who work in our school. Our committed and enthusiastic governing body ensure our children and staff work in a happy, stimulating and safe environment. We help to make big decisions about the school’s long term goals and we are involved in many aspects of the school, including running buildings and budgets, supporting staff and setting standards of school discipline. We act as a critical friend, supporting the headteacher but also asking questions and making sure the school is heading in the right direction.

Governors at Greenmeadow have a variety of experience to offer in finance, school experience and community aspects. Wherever possible we like to be part of what is happening in our school, be it attending school plays, supporting the PTA or visiting classes to follow our link subject. We regularly attend courses to learn more about our role as a governor so we can support our school even more and improve our governor knowledge.
