Welcome to Spartan Class
Teacher - Mr Urban
TA - Mrs Crossland and Miss Tate
Welcome to year 5/6 and team Spartan. This year we have an interesting year planned that is full of exciting learning opportunities. We will be exploring the curriculum through a range of different lessons and we will encourage the children to express their opinions whilst respecting the opinions of others and provide them with a range of opportunities to develop their learning. In Spartan Class, all children are expected to work hard and try their absolute best every single day. If you have any questions then please contact me directly via the class email: firstname.lastname@example.org or make an appointment to see me through the school office.
Please ensure that your child always comes into school with a named coat, especially with the weather getting colder.
Please provide your child with a water bottle every day. This is as well as a drink in their lunch box if they are having a packed lunch.
We have PE 2 times during the school week - on Monday and Thursday. All children must have their PE kit in school every day to ensure that they can participate. We will continue to do PE outside once a week so please provide your child with appropriate clothing eg: tracksuit and trainers.
Children need to have earrings covered by micropore tape and hair tied back. Please also ensure that children have their name in each part of their kit! If your child is unable to take part in PE due to illness or injury, please notify me in writing including the reason for non-participation.
Please have your child's name in all of their clothes and belongings!
Children are expected to read 5 times a week and record it in their reading records. Children will be able to change their books when they have completed them.
The children will still have 10 spellings from the spelling pattern covered during the week.
English and Maths homework will be sent out on a Monday and will be expected to be brought back in by the Friday.
These are the letter formations we use at Greenmeadow.
Thank you for your continued support.
