How we communicate

Communicating with You

ParentPay is used as our main system for parents to book school meals, make payments for clubs, trips and events and also to receive communications from the school. It is essential that you activate your ParentPay account as soon as possible and contact the school office if you have any problems accessing your account at any time – if you need a copy of your activation code please contact the school office. All meals must be booked by midnight Wednesday for the following week.

Email - is our main method for communicating with you. To receive these emails you must have activated your ParentPay account. Any class related information or direct teacher contact is via the individual class emails.

Website – Our school website provides up to date information including the latest news, letters, calendar dates and regular newsletters.

Text messages - are only used to inform you if your child has bumped their head during the day or for urgent messages.

FaceBook – We are using our FaceBook page and will continue to use this to send reminders and updates.

Communicating with the school

During this time of Covid-19, please only visit the school office if it is essential. Wherever possible contact us by email or phone. Our current phone system is very dated and we know it is not always possible for you to get through straight away so please keep trying or send an email. We will be upgrading our phone system in the near future.

Child absence  - please email or phone 01793 521141 before 09:30am each day your child is absent from school. If you suspect that your child may have coronavirus symptoms please follow government advice and notify the school as soon as possible.

Collecting your child – if another person is collecting your child you must let us know as soon as you can during the school day. Staff will not release a child to anyone other than their parent or carer unless we have received confirmation from the parent or carer.

Updating contact details, medical and dietary needs – please ensure that you let us know if your child’s medical, dietary needs or your contact details change. We need to have at least two emergency phone contacts for your child.
